Mei Tai love

I found great DIY instructions for a Mei Tai baby carrier and have been sewing them like crazy lately. They're pretty simple especially since I discovered how to rip fabric!! Here's a few I've done so far....

I experimented with this one... I made contoured sides and it's padded - one of my favorites to use so far!

This was a baby gift for a friend... I used the Alexander Henry Maxfield fabric and love how it turned out. I gathered the shoulers and the bottom rail for this one to fit her premie baby better.

This was the 1st mei tai I ever made. It was incredibly easy - just wish I had taken the time wash the red fabric 1st - oops! I made it using the Alexander Henry fabric What's your number

Just a couple of action shots! It came in very handy while working on the new house!

Stars & Stripes Mei Tai Carrier

I thought I'd made a slightly different MT than the one's I'd done previously... and this is what I came up with! It's very comfortable and not too girly - so even Mike will use it! I've made 10 of these because after the 1st one, 9 others wanted to buy them! That was a major undertaking and I have a whole new respect for WAHM that make these!!!

More Diaper Bags!

I made 2 more bags using the Nappy Bag by Amy Butler. This time I scaled them down about about 10% or so. The pink bag was a baby gift and I made the madras print for myself!

The AB Nappy Bag

I love the Nappy Bag by Amy Butler It's an incredibly easy pattern and makes for a great diaper bag. I've been making several lately for baby gifts. Here's the 1st one I made. Took me a few hrs extra because I did A LOT of ripping, but I had fun and I love it. I used the print Maxfield by Alexander Henry

Inside view - it has 7 pockets

I was feeling extra ambitious and made a matching diapee & wipee case

All for Ella

Baby Ella is already a special lady and she's not even here yet! The family can't wait to meet her though. This weekend is her baby shower so I've been sewing hard just for her!

Close up shots of the handmade goodies....

Melissa opening the goodie basket from our family..... We wrapped a bumbo with the blanket I sewed and then filled it up with all kinda of baby stuff!
